Clinically ready magnetic microrobots for targeted therapies
17.11.2025It might sound like something straight out of science fiction, but it could soon become part of everyday hospital care: tiny microrobots filled with active agents are injected into the bloodstream, guiding medications with incredible accuracy. A collaborative international research team - including scientists from Prof. Tessa Lühmann’s group at the Institute of Pharmacy and Food Chemistry, University of Wuerzburg - has just made a significant breakthrough in this exciting field.
