As of October 7th, Eduardo Merino Asumendi completed his PhD with the defense of his thesis entitled “Development of peptide-based drug depots, a myocardial fibrosis targeting system and a pH-sensitive system”.

Congratulations to Benedikt Gantert and team for co-authoring this publication in Advanced Functional Materials. It describes the development of a 3D culture organoid system, reflecting relevant features of glioblastomas.

Congratulations to Alena & team. Together with a team of scientists at Hoshi University in Tokyo and several from other labs in Würzburg, she continued her development of APIT, an oxidase with potential as anti-cancer drug.

Congratulations to Debora and team! They published their sensors, differentiating tumor biopsies from healthy tissues - in less than 10 minutes. These sensors hold promise to substantially reduce surgery times, as the decision to continue tissue removal might be shifted into the operation theater!
